Since 2019 the Vinyl Dinosaur has offered the local community a shop for music, books, art, movies, and cameras & curios. Located in Bayville, NJ adjacent to Conquest Comics the Vinyl Dinosaur offers a wide selection vinyl records, CDs and cassettes for music lovers to enjoy, as well as DVDs, books, audio equipment, instruments, and more.
Our Story
The origins of the Vinyl Dinosaur go back to May of 2018 when we began renting space atAllaire State Park located in Wall Township, New Jersey, which was very successful.
In January of 2019 construction began on our first brick & mortar store located in Bayville, NJ.TVD started off in a small room in the back of a larger store, officially opening on April 27, 2019.
It wasn’t long before we quickly expanded into a bigger room more than doubling the size of the store and offering our customers much more than just music.
TVD participated in the Red Rocker Record Fair named for Bruce “Red Rocker” Ciangetti, who owned and operated the Red Rocker Record Store in Manahawkin, NJ throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Bruce can be seen on the left in the photo below.

In August of 2021 construction began on our current location at 655 Atlantic City Blvd.,Bayville, NJ with our grand opening on the following October 2nd, where we have grown and expanded thanks once again to our wonderful customers!
